Srinagar the capital of this beautiful city is a place worth visiting. Situated all around the dall lake it has its charm in the beautiful.
Not only Srinagar but there are many place is kashmir which one should visit during his trip to kashmir.Starting to visit kashmir when you are set in your house boat and can’t control you excitement of the shikaras the first place you should visit is the shankaracharya Temple located on the peak of a mountain which gives a 360 view of srinagar. You can also see the beautiful Nagin lake surrounded all over the mountain from the temple. It will take bit of your efforts to go up walking all through stairs but that effort will be worth it once you reach the top.Not only for its beauty but this place is also famous for its adventure. River rafting and paragliding are the sports one can find here.


Srinagar is not only the capital city of Kashmir but it also is a combination of beautiful and breath taking places to visit which include Indira Gandhi tulip garden which holds everyone’s eyes with its beauty and is a backdrop for couples. Another example of scenic beauty is the Chashme Shahi garden which is famous for its spring water and beautiful flowers. Another garden beauty is Mughal garden which is filled with scenic beauty. Another mesmerising beauty of Srinagar is Sinthan Top. One example of modern Kashmir is the Pahalgam golf course which has Indian map sculptured through plants.
This city also holds its religious grounds with the Amarnath caves which is believed to have Lord Shiva residing in them. Many pilgrimages visit this holy place every year. Jamia Masjid, a historical mosque is also located here. Diskit Gompa, a Buddhist monastery and Hemis monesrtry  is also situated herewith the famous Kheer Bhawani temple where the water pound changes its colour if somthing wrong is going to happen. Shah-e-Hamden located in Srinagar is a masterpiece of architecture. Not only this, Kashmir is also enriched with its Chatti Padshahi Gurudwara, Surya temple and Mamaleshwar temple.


When you think of Kashmir you think snow and your trip will be incomplete if you don’t visit Gulmarg. Places like Apharwat peak, Gulmarg Ski area, Gondola, Sonmarg, Betab valley, Yousmarg are must visit. Kashmiri is not only famous for is beauty but is also famous for is kashmiri (Wazwan) cuisine. The famous kahwa (form of tea) is a delicacy served in Kashmir. It is a tea served with the mixture of almonds and other dry fruits dipped in it. Not only kahwa but Kashmir is also famous for its chicken and mutton delicacies. Saffron the most expensive ingredient to make food is only grown in Kashmir.
Places such as Ningle Nallah (gulmarg), Gangabal lake (sonmarg), Pari Mahal (quntilon), Hari Parbat, Wular lake, Sri Pratap Singh museum, Sangin Darwaza, Ferozepur Nallah, Chandel Valley, Katori Sar, Panchtarni, Anant Nag, Samot Sar can also be visited. This city is also famous for its handwork, embroidery and pashmina shawls which are its speciality.
