World Travel is not overrated.

This is the end.. beautiful friend, the end…

So okay, I’ve been listening to The Doors, and I may have picked up an ear bug there.. But it fits, this is the last post on this topic.
Mehak and I are 18 reasons strong as to why world travel is a very good idea, we’ve tried to cover a lot of what we want to say and clubbed it together, but chances are, we’ve only touched the tip of the ice berg!
You must have your own reasons as well, right?

Before I go on any further, I’ll just list the reasons we’ve covered so far :

  1. You Can
  2. You’ll know what You want from life.
  3. All the cool stories you’ll be able to tell
  4. You can get lost!
  5. To do something new and different
  6. To make your dreams come true
  7. You’ll make new friends
  8. You’ll learn a new language
  9. You’ll discover your hidden talents
  11. You’ll get a perspective change
  12. Transition from one life stage into another
  13. Education
  14. You need to push your limits every once in a while
  15. You get to BE YOU
  16. It’s not that complicated
  17. Freedom
  18. Spice things up

Now for the Final two.
The worse thing to ever do in life, is to do something because you were asked, told, or requested to do it. Take a minute and step back, reflect over whether or not you want to do what you’re asked or not. Psychology 101 will tell you, if your heart’s not in it, you’ll find yourself getting frustrated as against the expected “you love what you do.” So instead of trying to fall in love with what you do, why don’t you, for a change, do something that you’ve already fallen in love with?
Even as I type this, I know, a few of you wouldn’t jump the gun and go all “yeah, lets do this!” and I get it, you may not like traveling that much, and while I’m not hard selling the idea to you, I would suggest that you give it a thought, and figure for yourself, whether or not you’d like to plunge into this ocean of beauty that lies outside of the walls of your comfort zone.

Travel doesn’t always have to need a reason, sometime you can travel, just because you felt like it, or you wanted to. Often when we’re really not looking for something, anything, everything to fall in place, it does. It’s almost magical, like the moment you know you’re going to spend the rest of life with someone, and never grow tired of loving them. Travel can have a similar effect, you can fall in love with it, and romance it in every destination that you travel to.

Travel is like love, mostly because it’s a heightened state of awareness, in which we are mindful, receptive, undimmed by familiarity and ready to be transformed. That is why the best trips, like the best love affairs, never really end. – Pico Iyer
